As a locally-owned company, we work with individuals seeking assistance with transitions in their lives including retirement, career changes, inheritance, divorce or death. Individuals who come to us seek professional advice in financial strategies, insurance options and investment information. They do this because they possibly lack the time or experience and need competent, forthright answers. There are many financial questions that arise during life transitions.
Our firm is not a fee-based firm. We would like to discuss investment costs with you and show you a portfolio that is right for you, constructed of commission-based products, which can save you money and help you reach your personal financial goals. We offer hundreds of products from some very well-known providers. Since we are local and independently-owned, we have the resources that place us in the forefront of solving the issues you may be facing. We have a philosophy that can be summed up by our corporate statement: "It is about relationships, not transactions." We help reduce uncertainty and increase peace-of-mind by helping clients find the answers they need.

Gathering Data and Developing Goals:
Tell us all about you! When would you like to retire? What are your expenses like today and how do you expect them to change in the future? How much have you saved and how much are you currently saving towards your retirement goal? How much would you like to leave to your heirs? This is perhaps the most important part of the planning process because it helps us establish where you are today and what your goals are for the future.
Evaluate Your Current Financial Status:
After gathering detailed information on your current financial position and future goals, we walk clients through various scenarios to show them their current status. Specifically, we show clients their plan with a set of optimistic, pessimistic and baseline assumptions. Our goal is to create a plan that can accomplish your goals even if things don't go as well as you hope they will.
Assessment we provide of your data/plans/goals:
We have found that after evaluating their current financial status, many clients were in a better position than they previously believed. However, we may still need to recommend some changes to increase your probability of achieving your goals. This is also the point at which we would be helping you select an investment strategy that matches your goals.
Recommendation from us in a written outline:
After completing the initial plan and educating you about your investment options, we help you put the plan into motion. It is only when you take action and implement the parts of your plan that you deem most important that you begin to achieve your goals.

We believe setting measurable financial goals and re-evaluating your progress on a regular basis is crucial to your financial success. To this end, we offer our clients yearly portfolio reviews. Plus, any additional review as you request. Our experience shows more communication with clients generally translates into a stronger relationship and a higher probability you will stick to the plan.

Life Insurance
Provides for payment to cover costs associated with death, i.e. payoff mortgage, provide income to survivors, provide inheritance to loved ones. Two basic types: Term and plans that build cash value.
Long-Term Care Insurance
Insurance to cover long-term care services and support for nursing home, assisted living and home health care.
Fixed and Fixed Indexed Annuities
Product providing tax-deferred buildup of cash based upon the returns of an index that then provides either a lump sum or payout-of-cash at a later date.
Variable Annuity
Product that specifically has the cash value invested in separate accounts that are very similar to a Mutual Fund type investment.
Mutual Fund
Funds managed professionally whereby the managers invest in a wide variety of stocks, bonds and other equities to achieve returns.
Individual Health
Insurance that provides coverage to provide health care purchased for an individual or their family.
Group Health
Health insurance purchased through a broker insured by an insurance company to provide coverage for the employees. Available for all sizes of companies.
Partially Self-Funded
A structure alternative for providing group health where the employer accepts part of the risk to fund the program.
Medical Supplement (Med Supp)
A policy to cover medical costs not covered by Medicare parts A & B.
Medicare Advantage
Provides additional benefits to Medicare plans, currently no deductibles but higher co-pays than Medicare Supplement.

We place in writing our carefully thought-out recommendations.
